T2 TRAINSPOTTING: Following twenty years after the original Trainspotting, the boys are back. First there was an opportunity......then there was a betrayal. Twenty years have gone by. Much has changed but just as much remains the same. Mark Renton returns to the only place he can ever call home.They are waiting for him: Spud, Sick Boy, and Begbie. Other old friends are waiting too: sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger, they are all lined up to welcome him, ready to join the dance.

Tryon Theatre

Built in 1938, the Tryon Theatre is an independently owned and operated movie cinema located in Historic Downtown Tryon, NC.

The Tryon Film Society, with screenings on the 2nd and 4th Monday-Tuesdays, brings a challenging mix of foreign and independent films to the region. Our Main Features, screened Wednesday - Sunday of every week, offers a wide range of popular films. 

All showtimes are at 7:00 pm with a Sunday Matinee at 3:00 pm.

The Tryon Theatre offers a full line of classic movie concessions, fresh-popped popcorn and fountain soft drinks for your enjoyment. A wide selection of cold beer is sold from the balcony projection room. Red and white wine is available in the balcony as well as the at the concession stand.
